Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Regional Director of Sales directs the sales and marketing efforts for all Choctaw Nation hotel group sales departments. You will work with revenue management and marketing teams to develop strategies to maximize profitability and grow market share. The Director of Regional Sales serves as the primary group sales leader for Durant Casino property. You will report to the Hotel General Manager.
Primary Tasks:
1. Lead teams to improve total hotel revenue and manage the achievement of budgeted revenue streams.
2. Develop sales strategies through preparation of a strategic sales plan, implementation and administration of the Sales budget and the establishment of annual sales goals.
3. You will maximize profitability and ensure outstanding quality service for our guests.
4. Accountable to market performance and potential performance and budget, forecast, and target goals.
5. You will direct and manage all group and catering/conference sales activities to maximize revenue including prospecting, client/partner relationship building, cross selling properties and key accounts management.
6. Prepare, implement and compile data for the strategic sales plan, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts and other reports as directed/required.
7. You will recruit, select, train and motivate sales department personnel to accomplish their potential and develop individuals for advancement. Provide support and coaching for team members to guide high levels of performance, job satisfaction, and personal growth.
8. Drive continuous improvement by developing strategic services that enhance brand vision.
9. Promote and help establish Choctaw Casinos as a major upscale brand.
10. Monitor sales activities/performance to ensure revenue goals exceed established plan and report variance/projections to management.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM
Bachelor’s degree or 4 years directly related experience.
Understand P&L statement and how his/her actions improve the profitability of the department and property.
Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the sales/marketing/hospitality profession.
Effective management, leadership, organizational and communication skills
Five (5) years of sales management experience in a hotel or gaming industry
