Regional Facilities Management Director

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$114,000 - $181,500

This position is part of Facilities Management and Services (FM&S) team within Global Facilities Management and Engineering Services (GFM&ES) organization, a division of Corporate Engineering. The role provides oversight for Lilly’s outsourced Facilities Management (FM) service provider and oversees those FM services located at Manufacturing sites in North America primarily outside of Indianapolis (“Regional MQ” sites). The role also has responsibility for several facilities in Central Indiana. These facilities are of various types and include lab support, administration, utilities, storage, docks, parking lots & structure, and site services, some of which are sensitive and critical.

The scope of responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):

Oversight of integrated FM program at Regional MQ sites.Lead Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) for FM services being performed by the regional outsourced FM service provider across several Lilly facilities.Lead SRM for these Indianapolis based operations:Delivery Services (mail, shipping, dock operations, import/export)Central Indiana Transportation and Logistics

Key Objectives/Deliverables

Foster strong relationships and serve as an advocate for both the provider and Lilly.Drive collaboration across functional areas to resolve issues and ensure reliable services.Align partner objectives with company priorities and lead governance structures.Set relationship goals, success indicators, and monitor contract performance.Meet regularly with key customers and implement service level agreements (SLAs).Serve as the primary contact for contract interpretation and issue escalation.Partner with Procurement to negotiate contracts and review invoices.Manage operations expenses and local capital budgets.Drive process improvements and support energy reduction efforts.Ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements.Participate in audits and inspections as needed.Stay updated on industry trends to improve efficiency and productivity.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field with 5+ years of experience in facilities management OR 10+ years of experience in facilities management.Experience in a Facilities Management leadership role.Minimum 5 years of operational experience in a regulated environment.Experience working within an integrated facilities management environment.

Additional Skills/ Preferences

Operational experience in engineering/maintenance and/or FM.Demonstrated application of technical knowledge of facility engineering, design, construction, operations, and maintenance.Strong financial/budgeting/forecasting experience and an overall knowledge of capital planning and delivery processes.Demonstrated application of specialized knowledge in Project Management, Contracting, Contract Strategy Management, Self-Management, Lean/Six Sigma philosophy, Conduct of Maintenance, Proactive Asset Management and/or Reliability Centered Maintenance.Master’s degree in business or engineering and/or Professional Engineer (PE) certification or Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional / Engineer.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to communicate technically in English.Ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership (ability to create and present reports, set up and facilitate meetings, etc.).Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships between internal and external functional groups with competing and changing priorities and with limited direct authority.Experience in effective mediation/negotiation in both group and individual settings.Demonstrated ability to work in a highly autonomous, flexible environment with minimal direction.Excellent analytical skills, demonstrated ability to work with complex spreadsheets, analyze data and summarize results.

Additional Information

Shift: Monday - Friday, normal business hours.Hybrid work environment with expectation to be in the office majority of the time.Travel (10-15%, or every 2-3 months) to the Regional M&Q sites to establish and maintain relationships with the supplier and site leadership teams is required, as well as some travel for external training, seminars, conferences.
