Regional FP&A Analyst

Job Description

The role is to identify opportunities to improve overall financial performance and ensure that our strategic objectives are being met. As a Regional FP&A Analyst, you will provide decision support for financial management related to planning, results reporting, and forecasting; provide support to regional sales finance teams in areas of reporting, financial tools, and systems, manage input templates, and consolidate region inputs for review with management.

Job Responsibilities

Overseeing the budgeting and forecasting process, including financial modeling, and forecasting for many of our business initiatives

Regularly reviewing and creating an analytical assessment of the business including results against the forecast/ plan.

Provide business and financial analysis on the performances of all business lines, and recommend new initiatives/propose cost optimization opportunities in support for the region’s financial goals

Advise on opportunities to reduce costs, investigating variances further.

Lead the gathering and analysis of customer, competitor, and market insights from internal and external sources to substantiate recommendations, engaging specialist teams where necessary.

Understand the current vs future state of the business and identify key requirements/capabilities (technical and operational) needed to support the strategy.

You will provide the framework for presenting opportunities and appropriate decision-making criteria to ensure that the business makes informed decisions around prioritization.

Regular identification and communication of business strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in order to inform strategic planning and decision-making to ensure that key areas are addressed, and proposals quantified.

Set up and report against promotional activity to support future planning decisions.

Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, and expenses.

Work with the business to prepare presentations for the Senior Management Team on business performance and outlook.

Job Requirement

Legally authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Expert proficiency level in Microsoft Excel, advanced level in Power Query, PowerPivot, Power BI, DAX, and financial modeling.

CPA certification preferred.

3+ years of experience in strategic planning and/or business management experience.

2+ years of leadership experience preferred.

Experience around process/SOX control and accounting standardization.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Tagetik, CorpTax knowledge, Alteryx experience, SQL and Python are a plus.
