PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Regional Grant Writer, Clinician Services is a key member of the grant team, responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to foundations, government agencies, and other grant-making organizations. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the alignment of grant proposals with strategic goals. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Research and identify potential grant opportunities that align with the organization’s mission and programs. Develop clear, compelling, and well-researched grant proposals in collaboration with programmatic and finance teams. Prepare and submit grant applications within specified deadlines, ensuring compliance with all requirements. Maintain accurate records of submitted applications and track their status. Collaborate with stakeholders, finance, and other teams to gather information for grant proposals. Communicate effectively with grantors, providing additional information and responding to inquiries as needed. Stay informed about current funding trends, grant opportunities, and best practices in grant writing. Contribute to the development of a comprehensive grant strategy to support the organization’s goals. Work closely with program managers to gather information for timely and accurate grant reporting. Ensure compliance with reporting requirements and deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: BA/BS required. Masters of Public Health preferred.

Preferred certification in grant writing.

EXPERIENCE: Proven experience in grant writing, with a successful track record of securing grants in the healthcare or the non-profit sector.  Experience of pediatric health organizations a plus.  

Intermediate to advanced experience with project management software and Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint, Word, Excel.  Experience with SmartSheets and SharePoint preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Strong research skills and the ability to synthesize complex information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Strong organization and time management skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Ability to effectively engage senior leaders and clinicians. Strong background in grant writing The ability to articulate the organization’s mission and impact effectively.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Hybrid role which will need to travel to a PAFC office regularly.   Indoor Work Operating Computer Sitting/Standing/Walking for extended periods. Traveling Sense of Sight, Hearing and Touch Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include gown, mask/facial shield covering)

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

Adhere to all organizational information security policies and protect all sensitive information including but not limited to ePHI and PHI (Protected Health Information) in accordance with organizational policy, Federal, State, and local regulations.

 

The expected hourly range for this position located in Laguna Niguel, California is $56,303 to $100,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.
