Regional Growth Manager

Salary: £45k - £60k + Car Allowance

Location: Office-based in UK with remote work and extensive travel

Your Role

The Regional Growth Manager will be expected to have strong regional focus and connections, possessing an in-depth understanding or experience of working within specific areas of Fedcap's delivery footprint. This includes, South Central, South West, North West, Tees Valley and West Midlands. A successful candidate should demonstrate experience not only in areas such as employability, skills, justice, education and health but also in building and maintaining strategic relationships with key local stakeholders including Local Authorities, FE Colleges, Integrated Care Boards and VCSE partners. 

By embedding Fedcap's services into the heart of local communities and understanding regional dynamics, candidates will play a key role in identifying and fostering opportunities that align with community priorities. This ensures that Fedcap’s influence is felt not just through services delivered but through a genuine presence and engagement that drives sustainable social and economic progress/impact.

Your Responsibilities 

Developing and leading the implementation of strategic plans to achieve regional growth targets, ensuring the effective coordination and execution of key activities that align with Fedcap’s overarching mission of improving economic well-being and fostering social inclusion. Cultivate, manage, and sustain relationships with regional and local stakeholders including local authorities, combined authorities, ICBs, and other influential bodies, fostering partnerships that support new business opportunities and growth. Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with Fedcap’s core services and strategic priorities, ensuring early engagement and influence in upcoming tenders and regional/national programmes. Work closely with internal teams, including bid, public affairs, and strategic marketing, to align partnership strategies with bid and solution development processes, ensuring a cohesive approach to new business acquisition. Leverage socio-economic data, policy insights, and local intelligence to inform decision-making, craft targeted strategies, and present robust solutions that meet the needs of regional and national priorities. Represent Fedcap at industry events, conferences, and forums to elevate the organisation’s profile, share best practices, and contribute to policy discussions that align with the strategic objectives of Fedcap. 

Your Skills & Experience

Proven experience in partnership development, relationship management, bids/tendering, and business development in a comparable sector Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify creative solutions Knowledge of local and national agendas in relation to one of more of the following: employment, health, welfare, education, justice, veterans, and economic development. Proven ability to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders. Ability to travel extensively across region and to other locations as needed  Desirable: Business Development, sales and/or project management qualifications or experience of writing and or pitching proposals to new audiences virtually and in person.
