About the Job:
The Regional HR Manager serves as a trusted business partner and advisor, executing strategic HR plans to further business goals. This person ensures that all HR policies and practices are followed properly, and that Pacsun remains in compliance with Federal/State laws. The role works in partnership with the Regional Directors and District Managers in the assigned regions of responsibility. The Regional HR Manager also works as an extension of headquarters to create and execute field focused HR related projects for the entire workforce under the direction of the Direction of Human Resources.
A day in the life, what you’ll be doing:
Employee Relations / Advisory Services:
Creates and takes accountability for a consistently positive work environment that increases productivity, decreases unwanted turnover and enhances the customer experience Develops, implements and monitors programs that sustain a productive, efficient store environment and facilitates a positive employee experience and attitude toward the Company Provides an open door policy where employees are free to express their concerns and feelings without fear of retaliation or ill will Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues and practices; give support when needed (i.e. sit in on coaching or mediation sessions, assist in the wording of counseling forms) Answers questions from employee client groups pertaining to policies, benefits, employment law, etc. and assist them in the resolution of conflicts with their supervisor. Helps introduce or explain new or revised HR policies; new State or Federal laws and new or revised procedures Conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations. Use information to coach supervisors and devise programs for training, increased retention, statistics and employee satisfaction. Investigates all internal harassment, sexual harassment, and discrimination claims and external EEOC and Labor Board claims as needed and prepares position statement; responds to outside entities requesting additional information Takes thorough and detailed notes on employee cases/calls to create a historical database in order to retain and retrieve as needed. Maintains excellent communication with corporate office partners, Regional Directors and District Managers via conference calls, district meetings, one on ones, voicemail, corporate visits, etc.Recruiting / Talent Management & Development:
Assists in development of Regional recruiting plan and strategy Assists in the on-boarding of District level management Provides clients assistance with the performance review process to ensure effectiveness and compliance; ensures equity in compensation within area of responsibility; makes compensation recommendations Assist client groups with assessment and development of key management members for promotion. Executes and delivers selected store and district level management development programs Develops store and district level management skills in recruiting, hiring, performance management and leadership, etc. and ensures Regions are in compliance with company training expectationsBusiness Partner:
Acts as business partner to client groups and assists with strategy development to increase productivity, HR legal compliance and statistical results Develops tools and strategies to retain key employees and move bottom performers up or out Regularly visits stores within assigned Regions and provides information and assessment to Regional and District Manager
Project Management:
Tracks an oversees state related compliance for all regions Manages training and development initiatives Creates SOPs and HR tools as assigned

What it takes to Join:
Bachelor's degree and 5 - 7 years experience in dedicated HR Generalist role; or equivalent combination of education and experience Multi-unit retail experience Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience developing, implementing and monitoring programs/processes that drive business improvements Knowledge of lawful employment practices Ability to travel 20-40% of the time (depending on geography of Regions) Retail recruiting, hiring and employee relations experience preferred Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred Experience in managing geographically dispersed clients preferred

Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting. Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions. Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building. Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel may be required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. As a National Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
