As part of the Branch Network’s team of experts, the Regional Investment Strategist partners with our Branch Financial Consultants in growing, retaining, and deepening relationships with High Net Worth/Ultra High Net Worth self-directed Traders & investors. The team supports Schwab’s Modern Wealth Management initiatives by partnering with Regional Wealth Management Consultants and Financial Consultants in educating their self-directed clients on critical wealth management issues, our investor capabilities, and ways in which Schwab can help them meet their financial needs. Our Regional Investment Strategists cover local and virtual branches throughout the country and work closely with their Regional Market Executive, Branch Managers, Regional Wealth Management Consultants, Financial Consultants, and their clients/prospects.
In this role you will work as a relationship manager, sales leader, and educator with responsibility for developing and implementing a comprehensive regional business plan to grow the business by delivering positive client experiences. The Regional Investment Strategist partners with our branches to educate clients through individual meetings and local/virtual branch events. This role will meet sales and other business objectives and act as an adviser to Branch Financial Consultants and management. This role is responsible for contributing to the strategic development and tactical implementation of group relationship and sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate one-on-one consultations with high value, self-directed clients and prospects to grow and support relationships.Conduct in-branch and virtual educational seminars that showcase Schwab’s Trading expertise and capabilities. Partner with FCs to uncover unaddressed wealth management issues when meeting with Traders and investors. Build and sustain exceptional working relationships with the Regional Market Executive, Branch Managers, Regional Wealth Management Consultants, Financial Consultants, and key partners to build a customized High Net Worth growth and client retention strategy for the assigned region. Conduct impactful Branch Manager, Financial Consultant, and Investor Consultant meetings to support the skills necessary to grow and retain clients and prospects. What you haveRequired Qualifications:
Active and valid FINRA Series 7. Active and valid FINRA Series 63. 5+ year’s sales experience in the Active Trader, Securities, and/or Financial Services industry. Extensive knowledge of technical and fundamental analysis, sophisticated trading strategies, risk management, active trader products, services, software, and the brokerage industry. Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work-related experience. Ability to meet significant travel obligations within the assigned regional market.Preferred Qualifications:
Active and valid FINRA Series 3 & 34 preferred, but not required. Active and valid FINRA Series 9/10 preferred, but not required. Experience working with cross-functional teams. Proven success presenting to groups of clients, Financial Consultants, and Branch Managers to demonstrate market and product knowledge.Excellent communication and consulting skills. High level of passion and the drive necessary to deliver outstanding client satisfaction and robust business development results. Proven background in education and/or public speaking. Excellent interpersonal, motivational, organizational, decision-making and leadership skills.What’s in it for you
