Regional Maintenance Director

Responsibilities Within a defined geographic area, the Maintenance Director will provide services to nursing centers as directed by the Market President and perform duties as maintenance director at a primary nursing center. The safety of all nursing center patients, residents and employees is priority to minimize the potential for accidents and emergencies. *Position reports to Market President *Make recommendations to the Market President, Regional Property Manager and/or Nursing Home Administrators related to maintenance operations and Life Safety Code corrections for repairs and renovations of the physical plant and stationary equipment. *Provide input for capital and operating budgets, cost repairs, proposals concerning equipment installations, physical plant repairs, and renovations, and recommends acceptable cost-efficient solutions. *Insure preventative maintenance programs are being adhered by market nursing centers. *Utilize TELS to manage all building operations and expenses, tag assets, work order requests, and to monitor building conditions. *Ensure adherence to preventative maintenance programs along with legal, safety, health, fire, sanitation codes by being familiar with fire, safety and disaster plans. *Review emergency preparedness plans, Legionella Water Management Plan, Life Safety, and Tels to assure compliance. *Train maintenance staff and repair/install equipment at market nursing centers. Qualifications *High school degree or equivalent is required. *Maintenance related technical school degree and/or five years' experience in physical plant repairs, maintenance, and mechanical systems is required. *Must have experience in management and training of maintenance personnel. *Must be on-call for emergencies seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day.
