Regional Manager, Patient Relations

Description:

The Regional Manager of Patient Relations is responsible for organizational compliance with patient rights laws, regulation and policy, and for provision of patient advocacy services across the Loyola Maywood campus and all off-site ambulatory locations. This position is responsible for the effective operation of the patient grievance process mandated by state and federal law and regulation and the Joint Commission. This Regional Manager of Patient Relations supports improvements in patient satisfaction, quality and safety arising from the analysis of complaints and grievances.

This position has management responsibility for supervision of the exempt Patient Relations Coordinators and the administrative secretary in Patient Relations. They manage patient and visitor customer services at multiple locations across the Maywood campus, supervising the performance of more than 20 customer service staff who provide information and support to patients, visitors and family members of patients seven days a week at various hospital entry points, as well as providing direct logistical and informational support to families in the Surgical Waiting Room and to patients and visitors at the Loyola Outpatient Center.

This position reports to the Director, Patient Experience.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree.Master's degree preferred in MJ Health Law, MBA, MSN or other clinical field.6-10 years of previous job-related experience.Must have experience in managing a patient/customer relations and customer service function. In depth knowledge of governing laws and regulations required.Healthcare background strongly preferred.
