Education Week, a nonprofit media organization that provides the most trusted news on K-12 American education, is seeking a Regional Manager to join our Top School Jobs team.
Job Summary
The Regional Manager (RM) is responsible for driving sales and revenue for Education Week’s (EdWeek) Top School Jobs (TSJ) products. The RM sells TSJ products using consultative B2B sales skills and strategies that lead TSJ customers to invest in solutions that meet their needs, resulting in revenue generation, long-term customer relationships, and maximum customer lifetime value for EdWeek.
Responsibilities
Meet or exceed revenue quotas and other assigned goals (e.g. weekly meeting/demo KPIs, pipeline KPIs, etc.) Develop, implement and adapt territory strategy and account plans. Document and update these plans, and corresponding activities and pipeline in Salesforce.com on a timely basis. Apply consultative enterprise selling tactics to establish and nurture relationships with purchasing team stakeholders at prospective and existing accounts Identify, research and qualify opportunities from new prospects and existing clients. Execute effective discovery to surface prospect/client needs and to prioritize opportunities. Ensure timely follow-up for each opportunity. Leverage available information sources, including CRM data, industry reporting/research, and publicly available information to tailor outreach messaging, and to identify and advance opportunities Close sales that meet the best interest of company and client and effectively manage client objections Serve as a highly effective, customer-facing ambassador for EdWeek and TSJ Provide excellent post-sale service to maintain and increase revenue from existing clients Consistently schedule and execute a volume of virtual or in-person meetings with purchasing stakeholders that meets weekly meeting KPIsQualifications and Skills
6+ years consultative B2B (or equivalent) sales experience. Experience selling recruitment advertising or solutions to K-12 school districts strongly preferred. Knowledge of current trends in recruitment advertising, B2B sales, HR/Talent/Recruitment, and/or K-12 education Ability to meet challenging sales quotas by developing new business and expanding current business Able to develop deep understanding of TSJ products and the customer needs they serve. Able to identify top customer priorities and demonstrate how TSJ products support those needs Great team player. Willingness to assist others, contribute to team meetings, and share expertise. Eager to contribute to the culture of EdWeek’s sales team and that of our broader organization. Ability to work proficiently in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and other digital communication tools (e.g. Zoom, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Yesware). Pay Range: $67,550 - $75,000 per year
