Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President of the east, the Regional Manager plays a key role with the various Branch Managers of AIM Recycling Maine and is accountable for the coordination and supervision of all operational activities. The Regional Manager will provide support and training to contribute to the success of the Branches and sees to the achievement of the objectives of the company. Travel would be required 50-70% of the time, including but not limited to Canada. 

Work with Senior leaders to develop a business plan aligned to the corporate strategyWork with the various branch managers to ensure that procedures are followed and standards respected for Health & Safety of all employeesParticipate and conduct root cause analysis when required, and implement corrective and preventative actions and ensure that corrective actions originating from accidents, incidents, near misses of audit findings are completed in a timely fashionProvide support to the various branches by answering questions and providing solutionsTrain and develop the skills of his/her teamCollaborate with the HR Business Partner to ensure best practices are followed in the management of employeesParticipate in planning, development and implementation of methods and procedures for operational efficiencyOversee and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI), assess gaps and provide support to the various branches to achieve objectivesEnsure excellent customer service is offered to customersParticipate actively in day to day operations, if needed, be involved and understand the daily tasks of employees (‘’Hands on’’)Perform internal audits

QualificationsStrong business acumen with experience in strategic planning, financial management and human resources managementA demonstrated commitment to collaboration with both internal and external stakeholdersLeadership with a strong ability to motivate teams, solve problems, and make difficult decisionsGood understanding of the market and customer relationship managementStrong analytic skills to analyze data and to develop and adjust business plans1+ years’ experience in a similar Operations positionKnowledge of the scrap metal industry would be considered an assetValid drivers license
