At Piedmont Airlines, our strength is the way we deliver industry-leading service to our customers and airline partners. To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable leader to join our team as a Regional Manager in our Ground Handling Department. The primary responsibility of the position is assisting the Station Director in communicating with and providing support to all stations within the division. The Regional Manager oversees a team of General Managers from multiple locations, focusing on guiding management staff with labor relations, operations efficiency, maintenance, facility oversight, safety, and security. The successful candidate will have a functional knowledge of each department within the company and an excellent understand of Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. This position will report to the Station Director, Piedmont Ground Handling. 

Essential Duties:

Oversee a team of General Managers from multiple locations with varied duties based on their station activity

Focus on support and compliance in vendor handled stations

Guide management staff with labor relations, operations efficiency, maintenance, facility oversight, safety, and security

Set performance objectives

Ensure the operational activities of the department are adhered to in accordance with established policies and procedures

Administrative duties to include daily/weekly/monthly reports

Job Qualifications and Competencies:

Functional knowledge of each department within the company

Extensive knowledge of the company’s policy guides, handbooks, and contracts

Budgeting principals and guidelines per company policy

Excellent understanding of TSA, FAA, and DOT regulations

Two (2) years of General Manager experience

Prior experience with internal controls processes for accountable items

Ability to defuse conflicts among team members

Preferred Qualifications:

Current Piedmont General Manager

Extensive knowledge of QIK, Sabre

Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Business, or related field

Work Environment:

Standard office environment, use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment

Airport ramp environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels

All shifts including weekends, nights, holidays and/or irregular shifts

Extensive travel

Physical Requirements:

Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds

Employment is contingent upon a clear driving record, 10-year Criminal History Records Check, and drug screen as required. We also require proof of high school or GED completion. Minimum 18 years of age.

Starting Rate:

$75,000.00/Annual Salary - 90,000.00/Annual Salary (Based on locale and experience)
