Your leadership qualities give you the edge in successfully managing a portfolio of multi-unit locations and executing company strategies without compromising on customer experiences. **If this is you, you are the leader we’re looking for!** We are **Public Storage** , established in 1972; today we have thousands of locations nationwide and recognized as the leader in the self-storage industry! **Job Description** **Lead, Manage and Develop People, Brand Ambassador & Operational Excellence** **Responsibilities** + Report to and collaborate closely with the Divisional Vice President. + Help formulate and implement operational strategy to meet current and future business needs. + Oversee field operations across multiple districts, managing a workforce of management and front-line employees. + Service thousands of customers, facilitating successful move-ins, including driving performance via digital and eRental platforms. + Collaborate with key partners (Customer Care Center, Marketing, HR Pricing, Orange Door, 3rd Party Management, Real Estate, Acquisitions, Asset Management) to improve and streamline field operations. + Maintain close partnership with Acquisitions, Real Estate, and 3rd Party group to facilitate portfolio growth. + Support and drive additional ancillary businesses across the Public Storage portfolio. + Nurture a team of field management professionals, fostering an empowering atmosphere. + Collaborate with HR to ensure effective organizational structure and qualified leadership. + Aid in recruiting Property-level and District Management employees to ensure optimum staffing levels. + Adopt a hands-on, in-field approach to operations management. + Engage directly in the field to gather insights from employees and customers. + Prioritize customer-oriented approaches, efficient operations, and business procedures. + Execute the organization’s digitization plan. + Promote collaboration with key partners throughout all levels of the organization. **BENEFITS:** + $217,000 annual total compensation award opportunity including base, bonus (paid quarterly), and restricted stock units. + $104,000 base compensation + Participation in company stock program that includes dividends paid quarterly + Internal promotional and career opportunities throughout the United States + Extensive training and coaching plans – we want you to succeed! + Comprehensive group healthcare programs + 401(k) with generous employer match + Paid time off + Monday thru Friday work schedule, w/ quarterly mandatory Saturdays **Qualifications** + 10-15 years of experience in retail and consumer businesses (hospitality, e-commerce retail, retail, restaurant, car rental, multifamily, groceries, gaming, etc.). + Experience with public companies and those leading with innovation and technology is highly desirable. + Proven track record of building profitable businesses through exceptional leadership. + Financially sophisticated with outstanding leadership capabilities. + Strategic and tactical, fitting into a results-oriented culture. + Operations expert with a team-oriented, passionate, and focused leadership style. + Excellent oral and written communication skills and unquestioned ethics. + High energy with a “roll up your sleeves” approach to people management. + Ability to foster an adaptive, agile, and innovative work environment. + Collaborative leadership style, facilitating effective cross-organizational dynamics. + Experience managing a geographically dispersed workforce. + In-depth experience in change management and data analytics expertise. + High integrity, credibility, and experience as a trusted advisor and partner to senior leaders and front-line teams. + Ability to relocate across a 40-state operational area for lateral or promotional needs. **Additional Information** REFRMR0003 Public Storage is an equal opportunity employer.
