Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Global Manager for Supplier Development to join our team in Yang Pu Qu, China. In this pivotal role, you will lead our worldwide supplier development initiatives, driving continuous improvement and fostering strong partnerships with our global supplier network.

Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance supplier performance and capabilities across our global supply chainCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for supplier improvement and cost reduction opportunitiesLead supplier assessment and selection processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and quality standardsDesign and execute supplier development programs to address performance gaps and drive continuous improvementAnalyze supplier performance metrics and implement data-driven strategies to optimize supplier relationshipsNegotiate contracts and agreements with key suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditionsManage a team of supplier development professionals, providing mentorship and guidanceTravel internationally to conduct on-site supplier audits and improvement initiativesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovationImplement risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferredMinimum 7-10 years of experience in supplier development or related field, with a proven track record of implementing successful supplier improvement initiativesExtensive knowledge of global supply chain operations and supplier quality management practicesStrong proficiency in supply chain management tools and methodologiesExcellent negotiation skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levelsDemonstrated experience in project management and cross-functional team leadershipAdvanced data analysis skills and experience with performance metrics and reportingProficiency in continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or LeanStrong risk assessment and mitigation skills in a global supply chain contextExceptional cross-cultural communication and relationship-building abilitiesFluency in Mandarin Chinese and English is requiredExperience working with international suppliers and managing global teamsProfessional certifications such as CPSM or CSCP are a plus
