Bio-Techne is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Market Development Manager (RMD) for North America to join a dynamic and growing Product Marketing team to support the Reagents Solutions Division (RSD). RSD is responsible for the go-to-market strategy for industry-leading proteins, ELISAs, antibodies, and small molecules product portfolios.
The RMD is a critical role to develop and drive the execution of marketing strategies to support the objectives of the direct sales teams and key distribution and eMarketplace channel partners in the North America geography. This is an exciting and visible position responsible for raising brand and product awareness, generate leads and drive growth through field marketing activities, sales support and collaboration with channel partners.
You will combine your experience of B2B marketing, knowledge of the life science reagents sales process, enthusiasm and creativity to build effective marketing plans that align to the needs of the NA Commercial team, indirect channels, global Product Marketing and Management, and customers. You will be a go-getter, self-motivated and tangibly strong in working with various teams to achieve positive business outcomes and growth.
**Key responsibilities** **:**
**Marketing Planning and execution**
+ Develop and implement targeted regional marketing plans aligned with RSD’s strategy, including market segmentation, positioning, and go-to-market strategies, in collaboration with sales, product management, and global marketing,
+ Deploy global marketing campaigns aligned with sales initiatives in North America to ensure seamless customer experience and drive commercial adoption to increase sales conversion.
+ Play a pivotal role in preparing for the launch of new products, driving their successful introduction to the market through direct and indirect sales channels.
+ Drive and execute channel marketing activities with distribution partners and third-party marketplaces, including co-marketing and advertising opportunities, customized marketing materials, and joint marketing campaigns.
+ Conducts voice of customer (VOC) and Voice of Sales (VOS) for data driven decision making and recommend, develop and optimize selling tools, messaging, process and marketing efficacy improvements.
+ Organize and participate in scientific conferences, workshops, and other industry events to promote brand awareness and generate leads.
**Sales and Channel enablement**
+ Collaborate closely with the regional sales team to develop sales strategies, region-specific customer education materials, and coordinate and guide provide product knowledge training, and support lead generation activities.
+ Establish strong relationships with key distributors and third partythird-party marketplaces collaboratively create marketing plans that align with their and our business needs.
+ Provide sales tools and training and content to effectively promote Bio-Techne brand products through distribution channels.
+ Communicate and collaborate with commercial selling teams to develop and optimize selling tools and value proposition messaging.
**Operations and** **Measurement**
+ Lead and ensure operational processes that enable the successful representation of our products and product data in channel partner platforms, working with multiple teams to ensure compliance and accuracy.
+ Track and report on key marketing metrics to measure marketing and sales enablement effectiveness and ROI.
+ Drive alignment and coordination mechanisms with collaborators and stakeholders including Commercial leadership, regional counterparts, distributors and marketplace platforms, product management and product marketing.
**Requirements:**
+ 3-5 years experience in B2B marketing and/or sales roles
+ 3+ years of experience within life science industry experience is required
+ Minimum of Bachelors degree, in a scientific field of study preferred
+ Willingness and able to travel up to 25% of the time
**Competencies**
+ Strong knowledge of the life science sales process and the role of direct and indirect sales channels and proven experience in managing distributors, writing successful marketing plans that include distribution partner marketing.
+ Demonstrable experience in working collaborating with and training sales teams, and able to craft compelling sales tools and promotional content
+ Strong communication and leadership skills up, down and across teams, with the ability to tailor messages for multiple stakeholders, translating complex ideas into simple concepts and able to clearly articulate “big picture” strategy, while applying attention to detail during execution.
+ Tangible ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams to take impactful action without direct authority
+ Flexible and able to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment, working equally well independently and with guidance
+ Analytical with a solid understanding of commercial performance metrics and ability to quickly take data-driven actions
+ Experience working with financial reporting, and sales enablement platforms (e.g. Salesforce.com, Folloze, Docebo, Marketo)
