Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Regional Nurse Administrator (Mercer County (Lawrenceville & Trenton) for the Child Health Program within the School of Nursing. The Regional Nurse Administrator (RNA) will be the key nursing administrator representing the Child Health Program (CHP) within the assigned New Jersey Department of Children and Families (DCF)/Child Protection and Permanency (CP&P) area.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: Represents CHP and CHP leadership at various meetings with DCF/CP&P, as well as community service organizations, health care providers/facilities, and parent organizations. Provides oversight and direction to the CHU staff in delivering educational and health related trainings to DCF/CP&P staff, caregivers and community providers within an assigned DCF/CP&P area. In collaboration with DCF/CP&P area leadership, and CHU staff, identifies unmet or problematic child health needs and develops strategies and resources to address them. Conducts monthly meetings with CHU staff in the assigned DCF/CP&P area to communicate key CHP and DCF/CP&P information, to problem solve concerns/issues, and to provide opportunities for team building. Prepares required CHP administrative reports and submits them to program support staff in a timely and complete manner. Delivers direct clinical nursing services, such as providing a nursing placement assessment or nursing case consultation, as necessary and requested. Ensures that the staff are trained and evaluated on their knowledge of and adherence to compliance policies and
procedures specific to their jobs.
