Regional OpenShift Platform Leader

**Job Summary**
The Red Hat West Region Technology Sales team is looking for an OpenShift Platform Leader to join our team. This leadership position is responsible for the quality and execution of the West Region's OpenShift business as well as field execution for OpenShift specialists. This role also involves developing and advocating the region's go-to-market (GTM) strategies and tactics in the West for the OpenShift product line across other cross-functional teams.
**Primary Responsibilities**
+ Hire, develop, retain and lead OpenShift Platform Specialists within the West Region (SSPs and SSAs), to deliver emerging OpenShift offerings through all sales motions.
+ Lead the OpenShift sales strategy for the West Region, including articulation of the clear business value of OpenShift, to continue to elevate our impact to both our internal and external customers, driving growth through net new opportunities.
+ Accountable for the West Region's OpenShift targets and planned growth.
+ Serve as the technical thought leader for OpenShift, acting as a trusted advisor to Red Hat account teams within the West Region.
+ Collaborate with the North America OpenShift Platform Leader for West Region OpenShift sales execution and talent management, to include ensuring technical sellers are meeting the required technical proficiencies for their role.
+ Collaborate with the North America RHEL and ansible Platform leaders when joint GTMs may be required to simplify our offerings from the customer point of view.
+ Execute the hiring process for OpenShift specialists (SSP, SSA) in the West.
+ Assesses the performance of regional OpenShift Platform SSPs and SSAs based upon sales execution and team talent management (time/attentiveness to hiring, attrition, associate engagement, quarterly connection completion, etc.).
+ Synthesize regional feedback for Product team and Engineering reviews.
+ Execute regional sales plays with the support of the Global and Segment sales teams.
+ Partner with the North America Ecosystem Tech Sales Leader to incorporate Global Ecosystem strategies into OpenShift platform execution.
+ Partner with the Ecosystem team to implement and execute partner-focused GTM initiatives.
+ Represent Red Hat through public thought leadership (written and/or spoken advocacy).
**Required Skills**
+ 10+ years experience in a sales leadership role, in a technology sales environment.
+ Strong technical and business background with a track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering on complex projects.
+ Experience managing sales and technical pre-sales associates.
+ Proven track record in managing direct and indirect teams, as well as strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with a proven track record of success.
+ Experience with application development, deployment and operations, enterprise integration technologies and patterns, information technology security, API strategy and management, data management, DevOps & GitOps, serverless, service mesh, and other related Application Platform technologies and patterns.
+ Experience with emerging technologies and uses cases, like artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), machine learning operations (MLOps), data engineering, large language models (LLMs), artificial intelligence operations (AIOps), generative AI and augmented intelligence, edge architectures and deployment patterns.
+ Experience with cloud platforms, e.g. AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
+ Ability to present to and have conversations at multiple levels with a customer from developers and architects to infrastructure and operations teams, to strategic executives and C-level management.
+ Strong understanding of market opportunities, the competitive landscape and deep technical expertise in OpenShift solutionsand related technologies, trends, and concepts.
+ Bachelor's degree (or US foreign equivalent) in computer information systems, computer science or related field.
+ Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, following Red Hat’s established travel and expense policies.
The salary range for this position is $365,430.00 - $621,130.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
**Pay Transparency**
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
