Position Summary
The Sr. Director of Asia Operations will direct the efforts of all operations personnel to meet the safety requirements, customer quality and delivery requirements and maintain operations aligned with Company objectives for our Asia footprint, outside of China. The Sr. Director will provide operational leadership in an expansive region to include Japan, Malaysia and India. This Director will report directly to the Vice President of Operations, SEF Global Automotive. This includes directing and initiating cost savings efforts and quality programs, implementing and maintaining capital assets, development of manufacturing budgets and meeting stated financial objectives. Additionally, this individual will work cross functionally with the global management team to evaluate business strategies and develop and implement strategic plans. The Sr. Director of Operations will work to develop personnel and their leadership skills for key positions through delegation of responsibilities, motivation, and training. This individual will be responsible for sharing the company vision, as well as development and implementation of initiatives to achieve key objectives.
Essential Job Functions
• Promotes and enforces safety in the workplace and ensures EHS metrics are met, including TRIR, LTIR, Roadmap Scores, Audit Results, etc.
• Prepares region and country budgets, schedules, and other operations related reports as needed.
• Develops detailed plans and actions to increase productivity, while reducing overall operational costs.
• Ensures customer requirements are met in a timely manner.
• Leads proactive inventory planning, tracking and ensure inventory levels are within guided limits.
• Identifies improvement areas and plans and implements systems for efficiency improvement.
• Lead and coordinate the Operations organization across all its components (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Distribution and logistics, Quality and Sourcing) and Asia region to maximize Safety/Quality/Cost/Delivery achievement.
• Lead, support, and ensure manufacturing policies in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, materials usage, shipping and receiving, capacity planning, production scheduling, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations and performance measures.
• Drive collaboration between the Operations team and other functions within Stanley and across Business Units within Stanley where synergies are evident, and across all regions of the company.
• Lead the Operations team and develops the team members’ competencies to ensure a robust & sustainable organization.
• Develop and implement strategic changes in the industrial footprint and operations strategy
• Develop strategy and business cases to support investment in new equipment or facilities.
• Coordinate strategic sourcing & vendor interaction to ensure the right ratio between internal & external production while delivering products as expected in term of Cost/Delivery/Quality
• Deliver Working Capital Performance through creative AP and Inventory actions
