Regional Operations Manager II, Uber Scaled Solutions

We are looking for an Operations manager to lead Freelancer Supply & Product Rollout across Europe, LATAM and/or US&C regions to help acquire, expand the gig network and footprint in the region. This role will be designing and executing processes, projects, communications, and experiments driven by a deep and analytical understanding of our new skilled marketplace gig business. This role is heavy on stakeholder-management and the person will work closely with both local and regional cross functional teams. This role will own the strategy and execution of how Uber Scaled Solutions attracts, acquires and engages skilled gig workers at scale through technology, partnerships, and process optimization. **What the Candidate Will Do:** - Drive skilled freelancer acquisition strategy across markets - Implement and execute recruitment strategies through partnerships, digital channels, and local outreach. - Identifying freelancer personas and keep adding them to network - Collaborate with local teams to understand market nuances and develop localized strategies to address freelancer shortages. - Owning and driving the product narrative with relevant global product teams for development of gig platform (used by our skilled gig workers) - Prepare and give business reviews to Uber senior management regarding progress against KPIs - Skillfully manage multiple projects while embracing the fast pace of our company - Continually improving productivity in a highly transactional environment - Collaborate with tech, legal, policy, marketing and ops teams to scale the gig portal and delivery model **What the Candidate Will Need / Basic Qualifications:** - 6+ years of extensive experience in sourcing, onboarding, and managing large-scale freelance or independent contractor networks, with a particular focus on Europe or LATAM or US&C regions. This includes developing scalable supply strategies to meet operational demands and ensuring continuous talent availability. - Demonstrated leadership in overseeing the end-to-end rollout of products, services, or operational initiatives across diverse regions. Experience in managing cross-functional teams, setting strategic timelines, identifying roadblocks, and ensuring seamless deployment across markets - Advanced expertise in using analytics to drive supply chain and workforce optimization. Strong proficiency in analyzing freelancer performance, operational metrics, and market trends through data tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau) to make informed, strategic decisions. - Deep understanding of regional market dynamics, labor regulations, and cultural nuances across Europe or LATAM or US&C. Ability to tailor strategies to regional variations while working effectively with geographically diverse teams and stakeholders. - Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including product teams, operations, legal, and external partners, to ensure alignment on strategic goals and foster strong partnerships to support supply and rollout initiatives. - Proven ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment **Bonus Points / Preferred Qualifications:** - Exceptional written and verbal communication, and organizational skills - Previous consulting or startup experience is good to have - Strong leadership experience in navigating teams particularly in a matrixed or geographically dispersed organization.
