Responsibilities:
Responsible for assisting the Optometrist with providing a thorough visual examination by performing preliminary testing, support duties, and post exam follow-up. They will be taking the patient back, giving them a specific series of tests, recording the results and then setting them up in a room and preparing them for the physician. Set patient up in exam room by documenting patient medications and pre-setting phoroptor. Escorting patient out of exam room, setting up recall and then transfer authority to eyewear consultant who can help the patient pick out frames if needed.
Typical Patient Volume 10 - 25
Usually 5-7 Doctors on staff each day and they could work with any of them
Testing Includes:
Visual preliminary screening
Tonometer
Auto Refraction
Auto Keratometer.
Shift Flexibility is a MUST have:
Mon - Fri from 8:15am - 6:45pm
Saturday 8am-5:30pm

Must Haves:
Medical Experience (Medical Assistant, Optometric Assistant, Medical Receptionst etc.)
Customer Service expereince
Microsoft word and excel proficiancy
Need at least a High School Diploma
Nice To Haves:
Prior Optometric Assistant Experience
Prior healthcare/patient care experience
EMR (Electronic Medical Records exp)
Education: At least high school diploma
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50
