Regional Maintenance Outage Planner Primary Responsibilities:

Reports to the Regional Maintenance DirectorCreate, update, coordinate and own the regional master outage schedule with consideration of client needs, power purchase agreements, service agreements, client fiscal years and turbine generator outagesCoordinates with regional resources to balance work across the annual outage schedule and to ensure there are no regional resource outage overlapsCollaborates with assigned facility Maintenance Planners on outage schedules, and develops multiple regional outage templatesWork directly with procurement, regional resources and management to develop and continuously improve the Outage Readiness Index (ORI) processInterfaces with Procurement and facilities to procure competent and competitive vendorsDevelops scopes of work with field based personnel and interfaces with Procurement to bid, award, and scheduleRelies on facilities, field based Planners and/or Project Managers to progress schedule, plan and optimize during outage execution, and update actual to scheduleContribute to completing review of Post Outage Summaries with improvement actions forward

Requirements:

Education: 

High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree desirable or 5-7 years of experience in EFW or Industrial environment.

Experience:

Experience in outage planning and good understanding of power plant operations, or related industryProject Management experience with strong excel skillsIndustrial Maintenance experience strongly preferred

Skills:

High proficiency in use of work management systems such as PeopleSoft, ALM or similar systemHighly skilled and proficient in use of planning tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera or Proficient in MS Office, especially with Excel (spreadsheets, modeling and pivot tables), Outlook and AccessAble to communicate effectively with management at all levels from the corporate offices and operating facilitiesAble to compile planning documentation for review and effectively make revisionsGood presentation skills for effective communications to facility management and the outage project managersExperience and skills planning multiple projects and coordinating them through their various phases.

Travel:

Must be willing to travel to assigned plants for planning, execution, and reviews.  Typical duration could last up to 2 weeks. 50% travel annually.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to use respiratory protection equipment, climb ladders and scaffold, enter and traverse tight spaces and areas.Must be able to walk, sit, climb, balance, crawl and kneelMust be able to lift, push, pull and carry 50 lbs or more
