Position Overview:
The role of the Payroll Supervisor is to provide guidance and support to the Payroll Analysts for issue resolution. To assist in the overall supervision of the team and provide leadership in the day to day activities. This position is also responsible to review and audit the payroll for accuracy and completeness. Review and approve all related external reporting, tax and third party payments; inclusive of year end reporting. The position requires an individual with payroll expertise who can be relied on to provide advice on complex payroll issues and/or changes in legal requirements.
This position is also responsible for developing good working relationships and maintaining a high degeree of customer service within the Business. Responds to internal and external requests for information and audits.
Key Responsibilities:
Review the payroll for accuracy and compliance with SOX guidelines prior to approval and submission for payment to employees. Provide supervisory support for 2-4 payroll analysts and assist in the growth and development of the team. Review all government filings, reporting and payments to ensure compliance with local country laws, inclusive of year end filings. Responsible for guidance on regulatory changes related to local country laws as well as testing these changes within our SAP system. Provide assistance to the Business on employee payroll issues. Met with the Business on a regular basis to discuss payroll issues, changes to the Business and/or upcoming regulatory changes in payroll. Provide high level of customer experience while partnering on employee and manager related issues. Meet with the Business on a regular basis to discuss payroll issues, changes to the Business and/or upcoming regulatory changes in payroll.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline. 5+ years of experience with payroll process and strategies. 2+ years of experience leading a team. Experience and knowledge of local country Payroll regulations. Ability to review payroll transactions and compile the information into a meaningful format for management review. Demonstrated ability to work independently and apply good judgment, excellent complex problem solving, analytical and organizational skills, project management experience, relationship management and communication skills (both written and oral), with the ability to effectively interact with all levels. Good understanding of payroll laws and regulations. Experience with exempt and non-exempt payrolls (preferred). Experience with Meta4 SYstem (preferred). Fluent spoken and written English communication.
