This position is a specialized technical work planning, scheduling and monitoring preventive maintenance and repair work orders for water and wastewater utilities facilities including but not limited to wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, lift stations, and building facilities.
An employee in this position is responsible for improving work force productivity and reducing delays through planning and coordinating personnel, equipment and materials. Work involves planning and scheduling maintenance and/or construction work orders, from within our organization and from the Client including assignment of work to field personnel. Work includes analyzing needs, developing / reviewing job plans, preparing work orders, editing work orders to provide specific instructions, compiling statistical data and generating reports, and work closely with Regional Maintenance Manager and Project Management. An employee in this class works with relative independence within established policies and procedures. Work is performed under the general supervision of the VP of Asset Management and Reliability.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receives all non-emergency requests for job maintenance work; reviews and screens each request for priority, completeness, accuracy and necessity.Examines the job to be performed and determines the best way to accomplish the work; consults with the requestor, available job plans, maintenance technicians, O&M manuals, and/or Area Maintenance Manager.Investigates asset history, whether the job had been planned and whether the job had been performed previously; confers with others that may have involvement or knowledge about the job.Plans job requirement details and phases; determines job resource requirements; determines equipment and external resource needs; and estimates total cost in terms of labor, material and external charges.Support projects within designated region to manage the preventative/predictive maintenance backlog on a regular basis (proactively).Assist in organizing scheduled preventative/predictive maintenance procedures on a timely basis to allow for maintenance manager/supervisor and plant manager to schedule work efforts in any required shutdowns, bypasses, regulatory authority notifications, etc.Assist local project staff in consolidating required labor, materials, equipment & tools under specific work orders to maintain proper inventory.Incorporate Inframark establish preventative/predictive maintenance schedule on equipment.Provide CMMS and any specialized planning/scheduling training as needed.Ensure that all required preventative/predictive or corrective maintenance is captured and documented.Establish routine (weekly minimum) meetings (in-person or Teams) with maintenance manager/supervisor on tasks performed previous day(s) by specific individuals. Adjust short and long-term schedules as required, and as prioritized by maintenance manager/supervisor, plant managers and Inframark management team.Provide periodic reports to Inframark management team as requested and assist in establishing KPI’s.Become familiar with company procedure of executing purchase orders.Work with accounting department & Inframark management to obtain purchase authorization. Execute all required steps for proper purchase order and/or emergency procurement actions.Track purchase orders from point of issuance by accounting through receipt.Schedule and Coordinate shipment of any on-site labor equipment (forklift) for receipt of shipment.Establish process between yourself and local project staff to verify all deliveries for any damage or shortfall in quantity or type of equipment, material, etc.Establish process between yourself and local project staff for transfer of confirmed shipping documentation to accounting department in accordance with proper billing procedures.Work with maintenance manager/supervisor, mechanics, plumbers and electricians when purchasing equipment to ensure that all required equipment for installation.Must be able and willing to travel 50% - 75% of the time to projects within designated region to provide on-site verification, training and other support needs to individual projects.Must be proficient with Microsoft office suite of products.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Education/Experience: High School Diploma and 6+ years of experience, BS degree preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver’s License, Maintenance Planning and Scheduling such as the IMPS through SMRP or equivalent, Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) and/or Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP)
Technical: Ability to follow manual & operating instructions; Advanced knowledge of automotive mechanics, electrical circuits, wiring electronics & hydraulics, flange assembly, pump, packing & lubrication, relevant hand tools. Root Cause Failure Analysis; Knowledge of hazardous material handling. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft applications, internet & CMMS Systems. Ability to work with basic office equipment & phone systems.
