Job SummaryThis Regional President has P&L accountability for all states in the eastern territory. They are the primary contact for home office distribution leadership. They collaborate with all business units to accomplish top and bottom-line business results, while developing future business leaders for the organization. They oversee the operational demands of the territory with their operational partner and drive top-line results by leading a sales team dedicated to targeted, agency facing programs and consultations.
Essential Job Functions Be a primary point of connection between home office distribution and territory office. Build, oversee execution of and measure territory strategies that drive results. This includes strategies in the current year as well as long-term strategic planning focused on profitable growth for the long term. Accountable for top- and bottom-line results for all states included in the territory. This includes – but is not limited to – sales program execution, rate effectiveness through correct classification of business, strategic risk management, general manager leadership (that includes leading employees and inspiring DMs/agencies), etc. Oversee and collaborate with territory’s field operating lead/team to ensure seamless integration with home office distribution team – which includes all territory reporting, financial analysis, segmentation coordination, promo management, calendar management, measurement, and overall operational rigor/excellence. Oversee and collaborate with territory’s field operating lead/team to manage the territory budget and plot mission-critical business strategies, such as deployment, agency development, life engagement, BI engagement, etc. Lead cross-functional territory Profitable Growth Teams. Ensure alignment on and engagement in national programs as well as territory key areas of focus. Prioritize talent development and performance management; ensure consistent deployment of field-facing roles. Work with Legislative and Government affairs to ensure favorable regulatory and legislative environment in assigned states. Experience Requirements Minimum 10-15 years of Property & Casualty Insurance sales experience, with knowledge of insurance products and field distribution models. Experience owning the onboarding of new agency owners and staff preferred. Ability to be a long-term (horizon two and three) thinker and guide development of long-term strategic plan. Mastery of EA distribution strategy, processes, systems, and platforms. Ability to collaborate, influence and lead essential to success. Strong problem-solving ability, in addition to creative and strategic thinking ability. Extensive knowledge of insurance business and business operations, i.e. product, claims, distribution management, legislative and regulatory affairs, financials, etc. Education Requirements Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred. Insurance designations preferred (example, CLU, ChFC, FSCP, CPCU). Physical Actions This role, whether performed virtually or in an office setting, will include normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions. Sits or stands for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Occasionally reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Occasionally moves, lifts, carries, and places objects and supplies weighing 0-10 pounds without assistance. Listens to, interprets, and differentiates auditory information (example others speaking) at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Visually verifies and reads information. Visually locates material, resources, and other objects. Ability to continuously operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.Benefits
