The Regional President is responsible for the overall administration and supervision of multiple markets within a defined region. The incumbent in this role is directly responsible for the coordination of fiscal and tactical functions of facilities within the region. S/he is an active supporter of ChenMed’s vision, mission, values, philosophies and culture to staff, employees and community. The Regional President oversees the region’s operations, employee engagement and retention strategies and the advancement of ChenMed and our services in terms of its image, visibility, reputation, diversification, professionalism and technology. He/she has full accountability for development and monitoring of the budget, staff resource utilization, public relations, sales and marketing, program monitoring and related administrative functions. The incumbent in this role plans and initiates the development of new programming and services, as appropriate.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages and leads the daily operation and supervision of the entire region to include all programs and services, assuring compliance to regulations, accreditation and contract conditions.Administers development of annual budgets in consultation with executive management staff and monitors fiscal administration on a continuous basis. Manages budget and approves expenditures for areas of responsibility. Provides year-end input to corporate budget and, to those line items controlled by him/her, or within their area of responsibility.Oversees personnel administration, including participation in the development of and annual review of staff, as well as personnel policies and practices in consultation with Human Resources (HR), ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.Conducts regular management meetings with staff to ensure open lines of communication are maintained and critical issues discussed and resolved, plans of action developed and implementation completed. Identifies innovative ways to increase the value and competitiveness in the areas of client and customer experience, value-based engagements, affordability and delivery system partnerships; improves operating efficiencies where appropriate.Establishes, develops and maintains close and mutually beneficial professional relationships with providers, hospitals and community partners regarding the activities of the organization and future plans.Provides leadership and direction to the region’s senior management team to ensure the organization's strategic plan is translated into tactical goals and objectives that guarantee performance objectives are met or exceeded.Develops and manages an effective public relations/marketing program as approved by executive leadership.Maintains the highest standards possible regarding professional, programmatic and accreditation criteria of the agency, setting the standards by example and setting expectations for staff performance at a high level as well.Monitors key performance indicators and financial and operational performance in the division.  Drives activities of senior directors and their respective functionsLeads and drives both financial and operational performanceDrives both clinical and business performance within the assigned marketsUtilizes coaching and process improvement to reduce variability within assigned marketsDelivers on both a short and long-term business-driven strategic talent plan that ensures continuous, high quality, diverse talent to enable execution of the division strategy.Provides results-driven leadership, particularly through the professional development of competitively superior people resources. Creates an environment that leverages ideas, best practices and talent and leverage corporate-wide resources to benefit local team.Acts as liaison and/or chairman on various in-house committees and task forces.Drives selection and talent development of teams within the marketsPerforms other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:High business acumen and acuity with proven leadership skillsDemonstrates awareness of variables which could affect organizational stability, provider and associate retention and/or moraleDemonstrates excellent organizational and time management skillsExhibits excellent and proven verbal presentation and written communication skillsDisplays a commitment to the company as exercised through understanding of the company's mission, vision, values and standardsAbility to demonstrate effective communication, writing, speaking and analytical skills.Excellent attendance and punctuality to the office, as well as, company meetings, client meetings and other activitiesProven ability to work well under pressure and deadlines and handle multiple tasksAbility to prioritize program/service needs and monitor the smooth operation of agency activitiesAble to demonstrate knowledge of budgeting procedures and maintenance of financial records and personnel and trainee service functionsDemonstrates ability to train and educate staffProficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, database, and presentation softwareAbility and willingness to travel locally, regionally and nationwide up to 50% of the timeSpoken and written fluency in EnglishThis job requires use and exercise of independent judgmentEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance or a closely related field; additional experience above the minimum may be considered in lieu of the required education on a year-for-year basis; Master’s degree preferredA minimum of seven (7) years of related work experience with at least three (3) years in a management/leadership capacityExperience managing P&L in a healthcare environment strongly preferred
