Job Summary:

The Estimator will provide estimates based on materials, outsourced costs, client specifications, timelines, installation and other related documents and delivered within 24-48 hours to the relevant parties. Responsible for accurately calculating the total costs associated with a project or the development of a new product. The Estimator is responsible for providing estimates to clients, sales reps, production departments and sister companies requiring pricing. The Estimator will also review bids offered by subcontractors or outsourced vendors in order to choose the most cost-effective options, while maintaining the highest profitability for the company. The Estimator will foster a spirit of cooperation within all departments and between colleagues to ensure all estimates are delivered on time and to requested specifications. As the representative of this position, you will report to the local manager.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

Duties & Responsibilities:

Evaluating bid invites/RFPs with an ability to read and work blueprints, elevation plans, specs, or abstract designsDetermine the production centers and routing needed to produce the job as specifiedInstallation research and scheduling  Perform site surveys as needed                                        Calculate costs associated with product and vendor resourcingUse internal or external sources to help establish best materials and processes for RFQ’s Maintain awareness and knowledge of material price changes and competitive pricing                                                                                                                    Utilize bidding software to build estimates and submit to customers and salesConstant communication with internal sales team and project managersSource new vendors and continue strengthening existing relationships with suppliersProof all estimates for accuracy and value prior to sending off for customer approvalEstablish a consultative approach when working with customers and sales teamWork with other Riot locations on special projects and opportunitiesContinued education in materials, fixtures, displays and graphic applications  Other duties apply
