Become a Regional Registered Dietitian

Registered Dietitians play an important role in enhancing the overall health and quality of life for our residents through the assessment of nutritional status and collaboration with other healthcare professionals to develop an individualized nutritional plan of care.

Key Responsibilities of a Registered Dietitian include:

Monitors property compliance to Federal and State regulations; and to Company policies and practices.  Works with the Culinary and Nutrition Manager to coordinate nutritional care of the residents by completing nutritional assessments, developing and implementing care plans and documenting nutrition information in the medical records.  Monitors culinary expenses and works with the Culinary and Nutrition Manager to develop solutions for variances.  Communicate any concerns or recommendations noted at each visit with property leaders (ED, DNS, etc.). Demonstrates C.A.R.E values to our residents, family members, customers, and staff.  Attends continuing education sessions to develop relevant knowledge and skills.  Assists with training of new dietitians and dietitian assistants.  Must be able to travel to different ASC communities within the region. 

Qualifications:

Required: Must have and maintain current dietitian registration from the Commission on Dietetics Registration. Required: All Registered Dietitians will hold a current certification and/or license in the state(s) in which they are practicing. Preferred: Nutrition documentation experience and one to three years experience with Long-Term Care and Management in healthcare and food service.
