Regional Reliability Engineer

Job Summary:

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, 

Optimizing equipment reliability through diagnosis and enhancements, which will lead to a reduction of maintenance costs;  Improving plant equipment by implementing a program of advanced maintenance methodology including predictive and preventive maintenance techniques, and failure analysis to recommend operational, maintenance, and process changes so as to maximize equipment reliability, availability and life expectancy;  Conduct analyses and investigations to determine relative reliability with regard to such factors as cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, availability of materials and equipment, and determines the ability of the product to comply with customer and contractual requirements;  Develop the analysis methods for establishing reliability of company products and their components, prepares sketches, charts, drawings or reports for further developments; and other duties as assigned by management.   Responsibilities & Duties: Develop and optimize proactive preventive/predictive maintenance programs. Provide leadership to the organization in the implementation of maintenance system, tools and organization. Develop and maintain a set of maintenance standards to be used as a guide by the plant; advise plants of possible maintenance problems, which should be addressed, on a regular basis. Provide leadership to the organization in the research of the fundamentals behind reliability. Interface with vendors and consultants on proposals for maintenance systems. Be the champion of total quality/total reliability. Job Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 5+ years of experience in a plant or design engineering role Reliability engineering experience including Preventative and Predictive Maintenance, Root Cause
Failure Analysis, Process Design and Reliability Centered Maintenance  Industry background in paper mills, steel plants, refractory, heavy equipment fabrication, stone processing, cement plants, etc., preferred Forensic engineering tools and solid troubleshooting mindset Knowledge of mechanical integrity of systems, a mechanical aptitude & strong analytical abilities Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of plant, technical and management personnel
