Regional Restaurant Food Safety Manager

We hope you will join us as we continue to learn, evolve, and shape what comes next on our mission to make better food accessible to everyone. **THE OPPORTUNITY** As the Regional Restaurant Food Safety Manager, you will support our Operations region (and Food Safety team) to ensure we deliver World Class Food Safety. Specific areas of responsibility include crisis management, third-party food safety audits, health department relations, pest program management, and handling escalated issues from the Restaurant Safety Phone Support Hotline related to restaurant emergencies. Partners closely with cross functional teams to ensure compliance of food safety through collaboration with the restaurant training team, enterprise compliance and legal. The Regional Restaurant Food Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring we are executing on our food safety standards and protocols. **WHAT YOU’LL DO** + Strong candidates are motivated by what they can achieve, growth they could experience and how they will impact the company + Provide direct restaurant food safety support through consistent restaurant visits to assess and reinforce food safety practices, creating a strong culture of safety and accountability through coaching and mentoring. + Cultivate a culture of food safety by promoting best practices, fostering accountability, and ensuring food safety values are at the core of daily operations and team behaviors. + Support operations during food safety emergencies and manage escalated situations from the Restaurant Safety Phone Support Hotline, to include analyzing and assessing all escalated food safety issues to determine who needs to be involved and determine business impact. This includes after hours availability to determine when to close, report to local health authorities and escalate to executive leadership. + Contribute to the development of national food safety policies, procedures, and materials for all locations and restaurant employees. + Oversee and coordinate rigorous food safety compliance by leveraging data-driven reporting, robust training programs, and cross-functional collaboration, working with all stakeholders to align on food safety priorities.Serve as Food Safety subject matter expert supporting Operations and cross-functional teams providing guidance and coaching on Food Safety programs and issues. + Develop expertise in food safety tools, systems, and strategies empowering teams to act as ambassadors of food safety through coaching, mentoring, and leading by example. **WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE** + High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. + Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year University in General Science, Food Science and Technology, Human Nutrition, Hospitality Management, or Business Administration required. + CP-FS and REHS/RS certification required. + Manger Level ServSafe Certification, HACCP Certification and Allergen Certification required. + 5-8 years of experience in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, Microbiology, Chemistry, Restaurant Operations and/or Pest Management required. + Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and improve food safety programs through effective and efficient collaboration and leadership. + Strong ability to analyze, prioritize, and resolve complex food safety challenges in a fast-paced environment. + Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, plan effectively, and deliver results. + Skilled at delivering clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communications to internal cross-functional teams and leadership and external partners. + Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to coach and inspire teams toward a shared goal of food safety excellence. + Proficiency in identifying risks, developing solutions, and implementing preventative measures that align with company objectives. + In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, FDA Food Code, and experience conducting audits or managing food safety incidents. + Familiarity with pest management vendors and risk mitigation strategies. + Ability to remain on call outside of standard business hours, traveling up to 60% as needed. **PAY TRANSPARENCY** _A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $81,000 - $144,000. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
