JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Supports project teams by managing safety processes and procedures to ensure successful completion of construction projects within a given region. The Safety Manager is responsible for training and educating team members and driving the Company’s safety culture by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through personal actions and mentoring others.

Conducts project site inspections as needed to monitor progress and support project-assigned team members, steps in as needed to address and resolve issues and problems, and recommends, approves, and implements modifications to the project plans, schedule, staffing, or budget as needed.Conducts project reviews once a quarter, grading to Greystar expectations on four components: organization, curb appeal, safety violations and jobsite office.Participates in OSHA inspections, incident and near miss investigations. Will immediately report to Regional Safety Manager upon learning of an OSHA inspection or visit on any site.Will immediately notify Regional Safety Manager if an incident occurs. Completes accident investigations and provides reports to the leadership team which will include inspection data, leading indicators and accident/incident data.Identifies and analyzes risks and hazards on project sites and builds a plan to mitigate these risks and hazards in future.Identifies inspection trends and builds a business plan to meet the Company’s objectives in Safety and Health.Coordinates, schedules and provides safety training on the project site. Assists in developing the project safety training schedule.Oversees compliance with the Company’s safety standards and applicable codes and other legal and regulatory requirements by staying informed about relevant codes and ordinances and permit requirements, and by preparing and/or submitting required documentation and other information to appropriate agencies.Provides leadership on construction project site and builds working relationships with project team members, subcontractors, and key business leaders. Coordinates all third-party safety programs within a given region.Communicates with key business leaders to provide updates on the status of project, surface and address concerns, and plan specific actions as needed to ensure the successful completion of project.Completes various human resources, financial, administrative, and other reports and analysis, and performs other duties as assigned or as necessary.

Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in an annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
