Job Summary:
The Sales Director’s key responsibility is to lead a team of sales representatives in new customer acquisition and growth of existing accounts within their territory. A successful Sales Director holds themselves and their team accountable to achieving sales goals and performance through ongoing development, coaching and management. The Sales Director serves as a key field leader, supporting enterprise sales and customer experience strategies while collaborating with operations, marketing, and sales enablement teams.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide leadership for a team of sales professionals as assigned. Manage assigned sales representatives to maximize sales revenue and meet or exceed regional and corporate-set-goals, working with RVP to achieve goals. Drives the performance of sales representatives within an assigned region through providing sales strategy and support, metrics analysis and ongoing coaching. Develop and implement targeted market sales strategies. Support, advise, coach and mentor sales team members on all aspects of their roles including internal/external resources, to stay current on industry trends, best practices, and analysis of competitive information. Support the creation of robust pipelines to ensure the BDM’s ability to drive toward goal attainment. Identify individual and team training needs to ensure sales success and professional development of team members, including market intelligence, relevant sales strategies, and competitive pricing. Communicate and proactively drive KPIs with a keen focus on new business opportunities. Utilize technology such as CRM (Salesforce) and reporting dashboards to lead through actionable insights. Help team create customized solutions for prospects and customers individual needs.Qualifications, Education & Experience:
Must live in the assigned region (IL, MI, TX, WI). Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of Staffing Industry or similar experience. Experience with managing a successful sales team and delivered or exceeded goal expectations. Demonstratable history of success in B2B sales role, ideally with career progression. Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and business needs. Openness to continuous learning and self-improvement. Ability to analyze sales data and metrics to drive performance improvements. Skills in forecasting and budgeting. Expertise in negotiating contracts and closing deals. Able to develop a growth plan/strategy. Outstanding customer relationship management skills. Competent user of CRM Platform (Salesforce preferably). Initiative-taking & professional, with excellent verbal communication, presentation, and social skills Experience coaching and developing others. Successful in finding and uncovering opportunities with new and existing accounts via creative prospecting tactics and hunting activities. Excellent listening skills with the demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks to meet deadlines. Travel required; schedule and frequency to be determined by business demands.Salary Range:
The salary for this position is anticipated to range between $122,500 and $148,500 per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus, subject to plan terms.
Pay is based on qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training and other considerations permitted by law. We consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with applicable law.
