Role Overview
The Regional Sales Enablement Manager fosters collaboration between Operations, Compliance, Marketing, Finance, and Distribution to ensure sales activities meet operational, regulatory, and compliance standards. Leading a team of Sales Enablement Field Specialists, this role drives business growth by maintaining focus on Quality of Business and Persistency results while supporting independent sales leaders and associates on being successful in those areas.
Key responsibilities include monitoring sales metrics, enforcing compliance, and partnering with distribution leadership in delivering targeted training to close knowledge gaps. This role also ensures operational, compliance, and regulatory issues are promptly addressed in partnership with Distribution and sales leadership.
As a people leader, this position focuses on talent development, coaching, and mentoring, ensuring team success through guidance and support. It requires a dynamic individual capable of navigating challenging situations while balancing risk management and sales enablement for sustainable growth.
Primary Duties
Operational Support & Compliance
Ensure adherence to industry regulations and internal policies through training on administrative procedures, ethics, compliance, compensation, and retention strategies. Support compliance management, regulatory filings, and audit preparedness.Sales Enablement & Talent Development
Oversee field training by field specialists on new products, process updates, compliance, and best practices related to Quality Business, Persistency, and Field Agent Compensation. Support onboarding for new sales managers and agents, ensuring seamless integration. Implement talent development plans for Sales Enablement staff, conducting quarterly reviews to track progress. Provide real-time coaching to field specialists and feedback to address performance gaps. Mentor staff in handling difficult discussions related to business quality, operations, and compliance within the independent sales environment.Field Engagement & Business Quality Oversight
Ensure Sales Specialists monitor sales practices, persistency, and cancellation rates, driving corrective actions when needed in partnership with Distribution leadership. Analyze business performance data for the region to identify areas for improvement. Ensure underperforming agents are identified and collaborate with sales leadership on action plans to improve.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as a liaison between Operations, Distribution, Marketing, Training, and Product teams to proactively ensure alignment and communication. Work closely with the broader Operations leadership, Compliance, HR, Distribution, and Finance to maintain business integrity and drive efficiencies.Sales Enablement Strategy & Process Optimization
Assist in developing and executing sales enablement programs, refining training and onboarding processes based on field feedback. Propose and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency within sales enablement. Ensure the adoption of new technologies and processes to improve productivity and engagement.Performance Data Utilization
Use various reports to review metrics on regional sales performance to identify skill gaps and implement targeted training solutions. Guide Field Specialists in analyzing agent performance trends and developing strategies for retention and productivity.Key Success Measures
Track and report on key metrics related to Quality Business, Persistency, Field Engagement, and overall Sales Enablement effectiveness.Work Environment
Physical Requirements: Remote field position.Travel Requirements: Regular travel within the region to support Sales Enablement Field Specialists and engage with Distribution partners and independent sales agents.
Undergraduate degree required. Fluent in English. 5-7 years of sales experience preferred. Experience leading remote teams is an asset. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Flexibility to travel within the region; must have a personal vehicle (expenses reimbursed). Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Business acumen with knowledge of industry trends and regulatory requirements.
