Clariant is currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager to support the Lucas Meyer Cosmetics division of the Care Chemicals Business Unit. This role will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and fostering strong client relationships within the cosmetics and personal care industry. The Regional Sales Manager will leverage an established network of key brands, contract manufacturers, and distributors, to identify new business opportunities, negotiate deals, and manage key accounts through a B2B consultative sales approach. Responsibilities
• Achieve yearly sales objectives by developing and maintaining business with customers
• Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify business opportunities and enhance competitive positioning
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions
• Oversee sales operations, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Formulation, R&D, and Customer Service to align sales initiatives and identify new opportunities
• Conduct frequent visits to customer accounts to promote Lucas Meyer Cosmetics ingredients
• Maintain and grow a strong sales opportunity pipeline
• Develop expertise in active ingredients and coordinate with the regional team to ensure excellent customer service
• Utilize understanding of raw materials, active ingredients, formulations, and industry trends, to develop and execute strategic sales plans that drive revenue
• Utilize a consultative and strategic sales approach to strengthen Lucas Meyer Cosmetic’s position within key accounts
• Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote LMC’s offerings
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Business, or Marketing
• 2-7 years of sales experience, preferably within the cosmetics and personal care industry
• Established customer network on the East Coast, preferred
• 50% travel for customer visits and industry trade shows
• Strong ability to multitask and handle multiple assignments under pressure
