Reference PE003133 Location Gauteng, Roodepoort Salary Interval Monthly Package None-negotiable Description Our client in the FMCG Industry based in Roodepoort, Johannesburg is currently looking to employ a Regional Sales Manager.
Requirements:
Tobacco or Liquor FMCG Background. Diploma or Degree. Valid driver's license and own vehicle. Advanced communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Good people management and problem-solving ability. Strong relationship building skills. Entrepreneurial skills. Strong Analytical Skills. Experience in the FMCG industry required.
Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
Ensure profitable business relations with retailers, wholesalers, and personnel within the assigned territory, providing business consultancy and expertise to the trade through leading and guiding the sales team activity in order to promote company’s products and image. Provide regular feedback to the sales director on customers’ business performance issues, as well as on customers’ needs and expectations. Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the assigned territory, allocate and control available resources, and approve the cycle related Route Plans to ensure targeted coverage. Ensure that Sales objectives, including call rate and sales cycles are met through effective leadership, motivation, and regular feedback. Monitor and analyse company product portfolio in the assigned territory and report back to the business on recommendations to improve, etc Ensure company portfolio of products are available, optimal visibility and recommended pricing through setting and agreeing on SMART goals for the sales team and following up their progress including implementation on trade marketing programs. Support the implementation of activities within the assigned territory in line with specific Sales Cycle objectives to strengthen company’s brands performance and awareness. Ensure the quality of collected information, monitor, analyse and report it within the defined scope, format, and deadlines. Consolidate and report information on competitor activities (merchandising, pricing, advertising, promotions, POSM, etc.) within the assigned territory. Maintain regular job shadowing with all the members in the Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga & North West Team – motivating them, directing them, and ensuring that sales cycle plans as well as the ordering sales process are adhered to. Ensure that all team activities build and maintain the solid image of the company. Monthly reporting on performance to Management.
