Brief Description:Mine, cultivate, and maintain new and existing customers. Build deep relationships to execute personal sales goals that aligns with a Divisional strategy. To be successful one must be self-sufficient, innovative and be able to work independently to help execute the sales strategy for all of our products.

Responsibilities Building strong relationships with contacts at all levels across a variety of functions within customer organizationsSucceeds by understanding the goals and concepts of our business and incorporating these goals daily to achieve sales and profitability targetsWill work closely with our sales and operations teams to creatively achieve both company and customer objectivesWill keep customers informed about industry and economic trends to demonstrate Vulcan’s ability to assist customers in adapting to changeUnderstands and monitors the competitive environment and provides market intelligence to the sales team to help shape sales strategies, price and inventory levelsWill find ways to increase revenue from customers by selling value added products to enhance our market shareWill manage accounts including; understanding margin analysis, competitive market information and quality improvement initiativesWill lead and assist in the development and execution of appropriate sales and commercial programs to drive growth and revenueHigh frequency of travel, overnights will be mandatory Qualifications Sales experienceStrong business acumen with excellent customer service, interpersonal and both oral, and written communication skills; persuasive negotiation skillsSelf-starter with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships quicklyEffective problem-solving/conflict resolution skills and the ability to maintain confidentialityAssertive/Confident - ability to ask for orders, demand mutual respect within buyer/seller transaction while maintaining humilityKeen attention to detail with a strong aptitude for mathAbility to work well and excel within a team or individually

Preferred:

Multiple years field/territory managementMicrosoft Office experience, specifically ExcelOutside sales/travel experienceBachelor's degreeFlexibility to relocate in the future - multiple divisions
