Caterpillar currently has an opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager based in Singapore. The position is responsible to lead a regional commercial sales team for growing MWM branded prime gas engines sales and aftermarket service business in the territories in Asia Pacific. In addition, this position will cooperate and collaborate with other regional function teams of project execution, parts/logistics and product support to ensure regional operational excellence and customer satisfaction for sustainable and profitable growth of MWM gas engine business. This position reports to Sales Director of Asia Pacific.

What You Will Do: ​

Deliver business plan sales and market share targets for the company products in a given industry segment or market.

Develop sales and marketing plan and manage merchandising plans to achieve business plan targets for company products and services.

Ensuring customer satisfaction through management of product and commercial issues; Oversee service goodwill spending on all products within the industry segment.

Lead the selling opportunities identification, customer satisfaction improvement and business relationship enhancement.

Senior sales leadership representative of the MWM brand in the Asia-Pacific Region

Drive MWM business growth in the region, both from new engines sales and aftermarket service perspective for all regional customer base.

Lead regional Territory Managers and Sales Support to pursue double digit prime engine and aftermarket service business year over year by executing MWM commercial strategy 2029.

Conduct frequent visits to customers and partners to understand the market and business opportunities.

Work with SCA (Strategic Corporate Account) and CMP (Complex Mega Project) Sales Managers in region to develop those certain corporate accounts and mega complex projects together to a final success.

Be the stakeholder and voice of business in local entity, work with cross functional teams and other leaders in region to ensure the centre of excellence for MWM operations and customer satisfaction.

Collaborate with industrial institutes, EPC and IPP (Power Rental) partners and Financing parties to build up comprehensive competitive advantage of MWM offering/solutions.

Lead the development of the MWM presence, including participation in industrial workshops, conferences, and trade fairs (in collaboration with MWM head office).

Ensure a high level of forecasting accuracy for incoming orders and work closely with the Head Office in operations of internal technical and commercial systems and process (Salesforce and closing steps).

What You Have:

Industry Knowledge in Gas Energy Sector

Technical and commercial knowledge of gas engine market

Deep knowledge in the local markets

Leadership Competency

Proven experience in leading a team achieve the organisational objectives

Customer Focus and Business Development

Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions

Knowledge of business development tools, techniques and approaches; ability to explore and develop potential areas of business growth for the organization

Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors

This role requires about 50% travelling within Asia Pacific and Germany.
