GCG Automation & Factory Solutions is currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager for our Nashville, TN based team. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day operations of an outside sales team to ensure strong customer relations and continued growth within an assigned territory. You will manage, coach, and develop the technical sales associates for our Southern region while maintaining exemplary business relationships with our vendors.
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, based out of our Nashville, TN area. However, frequent travel to customer sites and customer facing events is necessary.
What you’ll do
Plan, oversee, and manage staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and direct a technical sales team within a defined regionDevelop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to meet corporate business growth objectivesFrequently review market reports to identify customer needs and evaluate existing price schedules and discount ratesPrepare and present periodic sales reports that reflect sales volume, potential sales, and new business opportunitiesDevelop and maintain strong vendor relations Develop, schedule, and drive vendor sales staff coordinationParticipate in Vendor Sales Account planningDirect channel development activity and coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, goalsAttend applicable trade shows and customer facing events to promote company imageMeet with key clients and assist sales representatives to address customer concerns and provide support with contract negotiation Facilitate collaboration between sales department and other business units of GCGAssist with establishing budgets and controlling expenditures to conform to budgetary requirementsMonitor the activities and product offering of competitor distributors in the assigned territorySchedule, coordinate, and develop content for sales meetingsWhat you’ll bring
5+ years of recent experience within industrial automation distribution strongly preferred5 to 7 years of technical sales, marketing, or engineering experience requiredIn depth, demonstrated knowledge of sales principles, tactics, and market penetrationProven proficiency with Salesforce or comparable CRM, ERP, and MS Office SuiteProven track record of effective leadership and management of a dispersed sales teamAbility to travel throughout the territory as is required to maintain vendor relationships and develop sales associatesClean driving record requiredWhat we offer
