Regional Sales Manager - East
**Description** Liberty Safety, a respected wholesaler of personal protective equipment (PPE) and a division of Bunzl, is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager. The East Coast Regional Sales Manager will be directly responsible for managing the independent sales agents in the assigned territory. This position will assist with new business targets, work directly with house accounts and focus on organic sales growth in existing accounts. They will build sales agents and customer relationships, introduce new products, identify opportunities for growth and handle customer issues, inquiries, and communicate effectively with all appropriate internal departments and personnel. Due to travel, it is helpful if the successful candidate is near a major airport. **This role is Salary + Commission** **This position will have a Sales territory in the East Coast Region:** (ME, NH, MA, VT, CT, RI, NY, NJ, PA, DE, DC, MD, WV, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, PR, AL, TN, KY) **_Responsibilities:_** + Mentor independent sales agents to gain a proportionate amount of mind share and grow the business in each of their territories. + Aggressively increase sales through greater penetration within existing accounts and industries, while also prospecting and building business with new accounts. + Become the Liberty Safety champion with the larger regional distributors and communicate to the entire sales team. + Hold quarterly business reviews with top customers and each sales agent. + Position requires 25% end user engagement, with the goal of having Liberty Safety product specified by the user. + Become an expert in Liberty Safety products to train and assist in solving customer application needs. + Participate in new product development, present new items and promotional items to distributors, end users and sales agents. + Implement and manage pricing strategies within all accounts. + Participate in affiliated associations to establish network among industry peers. + Attend sales meetings and meet with sales manager on a regular basis. + Communicate customer changes to all internal departments. + Attend trade shows and follow up on incoming sales leads. + Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. **_Requirements:_** + High School diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree in Professional Selling, Marketing or Business a plus. + 5 - 7 years previous selling experience in the safety industry preferred. + Required to work independently with minimal supervision. + 50%(+) travel required nationwide to include overnight stays. + Requires outstanding customer service skills and the ability to work in a team setting with a diverse group of employees, managers and external contacts. + Outstanding analytical, organizational, and oral/written communication skills. + Must reside in the territory near a major airport. **So, what are you waiting for?
