Regional Sales Manager - Power Monitoring - Dallas, TX
This opportunity is with a leading provider of battery monitoring solutions for mission-critical power systems in data centers across the U.S. This company ensures constant uptime and reliability by monitoring power equipment, preventing failures. Their solutions cater to Hyperscale, Colocation, and Enterprise Data Centers, providing real-time insights to optimize battery performance and extend system life.
We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive business development efforts for battery monitoring equipment within the mission-critical data center industry. This role will focus on building relationships with engineering firms, end users, OEMs, resellers, contractors, and data center facility operators. The ideal candidate will have strong technical sales experience within the data center power infrastructure market, along with a proven track record of selling power monitoring solutions, batteries, UPS, generators, switchgear, or related electrical equipment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand market share in battery monitoring solutions for data centers across the Americas - including Latin America, Mexico, and CanadaTarget and engage Facility Managers, Operations teams, OEMs (Schneider, Eaton, Vertiv, etc.), and resellers such as C&C Power, Concentric, CPG, etc., to drive sales opportunitiesIdentify and cultivate new business opportunities through consultative sales strategies, managing relationships with engineering firms, electrical/mechanical contractors, general contractors, and data center operatorsReach out to existing contacts that have upcoming projects in the US with a primary focus of selling data center power monitoring equipment in the mission critical data center industryManage the full project lifecycle (FPLC), from tracking opportunities, managing client relationships, project execution, and billing/collectionsLead sales presentations, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts with key stakeholdersTravel to industry conferences and trade shows (both locally and nationally) to represent the company and build industry relationshipsCollaborate with internal teams to refine sales strategies and enhance product offerings based on market trendsMaintain and update the CRM system, tracking pipeline opportunities and sales progressDrive revenue growth while meeting or exceeding sales quotas, contributing to the team-wide bonus pool compensation structureQualifications:
5+ years of experience in technical sales within the data center, power infrastructure, or electrical equipment industryExperience selling battery monitoring solutions or related power infrastructure, such as UPS, switchgear, generators, transformers, and power monitoring equipmentEstablished industry network with data center operators, facility managers, OEMs, and resellersStrong technical aptitude in electrical engineering and power systemsAbility to manage long sales cycles (8-12 months) and navigate complex purchasing processesExperience with Hyperscale and Enterprise Data Center deals ranging from $75K - $200K+Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering a plusMilitary experience a huge plus! Candidates with backgrounds in Electrical/Mechanical roles in the Navy (Nukes, EMN, ETN, MMNs, Seabees), Army (Power Generation), Air Force (Power Production, Generator Techs), Coast Guard, Army National Guard, etc. are highly encouraged to applyWillingness to travel as needed for client meetings, site visits, etc.Attend local and national data center trade conferences, industry events, and professional organizations such as 7x24 Exchange, Bisnow, DCD, AFCOM, Uptime Institute, iMasons, and ASHRAESubmittal Instructions:
