Regional Sales Manager- Southern

 

The Regional Sales Manager- Southern must be located in the Southern US (FL, GA, SC, NC, TN, TX) and is accountable for managing and leading our sales efforts in an assigned regional territory. In this role you will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth through multiple commercial channels including distributors, manufacturers, and end users. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for creating and nourishing strong business relationships across our various commercial channels and exceeding ambitious sales targets and market share growth objectives.

This is a salaried plus commission position.

 

** This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from the Southern US (FL, GA, SC, NC, TN, TX) with a stable internet connection and within commutable distance of a major airport. The role also involves frequent travel, approximately 50% of the time to client meetings, site visits, conferences, etc.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

Set and meet sales targets designed to achieve double-digit growth on an annual basis by gaining share from competitors and by identifying new opportunities.Identify and locate new clients through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls.Develop new accounts by identifying potential customers and creating a sales plan which focuses on understanding the customer’s need and developing that need into an opportunity. Understand customer drivers, markets and align strategies and action plans accordingly. Drive funnel and forecast accuracy. Understand future period forecasts for high-value customers and impact on revenue goals. Review monthly sales reports to monitor customer performance and evaluate appropriate business actions. Thorough understanding of the company’s products as well as immediate competitors in similar markets. Apply knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients. Provide product training to distributors, service technicians, and end users.Maintain knowledge of the market, competition, and best practices in sales techniques and strategies. Provide quality experience at all operation levels to our customers. Cultivate strong customer relationships by working diligently with all business partners to provide a high level of customer satisfaction. Maintain the Company CRM data bank that includes storing and managing contact information, leads and tracks progress of sales opportunities.Provide feedback to Air System Products leadership on “Voice of Customer,” market conditions, pricing, competitive landscape and distributor activities. Work with Air System Products team to develop programs and promotions to drive sales activity.Participate in marketing events such as seminars, and tradeshows. Qualifications

Required Skills and Abilities

Consumer-oriented and able to adapt to changing customer requirements; Strong problem-solving skills required. A high level of initiative is necessary.Excellent sales and negotiation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.Ability to travel 50+%.

Education and Experience

3+ years’ experience in the compressed air industry or with compressed air systems is required.Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related fields is preferred.Three to five years of compressor and/or industrial sales/service experience is preferred.
