The fundamental purpose for this position is to makes sales calls throughout the assigned sales territory building customer relationships while soliciting rental, parts and service sales. This position will be the front-line contact between the company and the customer. This position requires 80% travel in the sales territory. This position reports to the Regional Rental Manager.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Make regular customer visits throughout the territory to solicit rental, parts and service sales. Record all customer sales visits and relevant sales activity in CRM data base within 24hrs of the event. Regularly collect and report market information regarding competitors, trends, and product development opportunities Build strong relationships with customers; understanding their business needs. Continuously research the sales territory identifying and adding qualified prospects to the CRM database. Submit activity plan for the upcoming week every Saturday by 12PM. Assist management with monthly, quarterly and annual sales projections. Provide technical training or technical information to customers as required. Represent the company at open houses, trade shows, and industry groups.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
Strong interpersonal skills; excellent communicator. Results driven, self-motivated, works well with minimal direct supervision. Fundamental technical knowledge of Truck Chassis and Vacuum Trucks systems and functions. Knowledge of various applications and uses for industrial vacuum trucks, Combination machines, Hydro-excavators. Solid business acumen, sound decision maker, problem solver Computer acumen, comfortable with Excel, Word, APPS, Email, CRM.
Education and Experience:
Minimum five years' experience selling vacuum trucks or a minimum five years' experience in fleet or operations management in a company providing significant vacuum truck services. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
