General Description: Responsible for driving continuous revenue growth for Select Commercial Lines. Manages the Select sales producers and responsible for achieving sales and budget goals. The Practice Leader will be a key part of the Regional Executive Leadership Team.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the management of Select Producers. Providing leadership and coaching to staff to generate revenue and meet sales goals.
• Drive behaviors to ensure that staff is working to meet revenue growth targets. Includes prospecting, generating first appointments and closing new business opportunities.
• Work with the regional recruiting team to source, screen, hire and on board new producers. New Producers should be capable of generating new revenue that exceed $100k per year on an annualized basis.
• Create positive relationships with other practices to encourage two-way cross selling. Includes Property/Casualty, Employee Benefits, and Personal Risk Services.
• Ensure Select producers are completing all requirements of the New Producer Expectation Form.
• Responsible for distribution of suspects and prospects to producers. Work with the local CRM Champion, supported by the USI Data Integrity Team.
Key Performance Metrics:
• Hire producers per quarter
• Graduate 90% of hires through 4 month training/assessment program
• Generate $50,000 median new business per producer over 12 months in production
• Graduate 35% of producers to middle market
• Execution of best practices (Huddles, Sales Activation, Hiring)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• 5-8 years of Property and Casualty brokerage sales experience in a leadership role.
• Must be a skilled individual that is driven to motivate others to achieve sales goals.
• Ability to coach/mentor in concert with recruiting and hiring sales producers.
• Excited about and familiar with: a cross-sell approach; selling coverage as opposed to price, and proactive sales management and tracking.
• Ability to win the confidence other Practice Leaders and Producers. Strong technical ability, presentation style and sophistication.
• Undergrad degree and Insurance designations i.e. CIC, ARM.
