What you’ll be working on:

The Regional Supply Chain Manager (RSCM) position develops strategic plans for Non-Profit Partners and Stores to meet their supply chain goals. These plans should align and meet the goals of the Region and Company, as well as positively impacting our Non-Profit Partners.  The primary objective of the RSCM is to maximize the product margin in every market they support while minimizing associated supply chain costs. The incumbent requires the ability to foster relationships in all aspects of Non-Profit, Store Operations and Corporate; to manage all areas of supply, including margin and costing in the regions they are responsible for.

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

Responsible for sourcing highest product margin producing supply. Minimize the supply chain costs. Responsible for meeting the budgeted product needs of the stores within assigned region. Analyze operational data and performance to maximize efficiencies and effectiveness of the business. Analyze all sources of product for quality control and provide solutions. Leads, develops, and presents business plans for every market to maximize overall product margin using Supply Source Yield. Adjust business plans as required to ensure profitability and cost reductions using new collection methods. Builds effective and responsive business partnerships with all Non-Profits and Vendors. Presents to executives, board members, and external stakeholders. Develops and administer budget. Manages and supervise Supply Chain Specialists. Development of Supply Chain Specialists by continually observing, assessing and coaching direct reports to strengthen individual and leadership capabilities. Liaison between Non-Profit Partners and SSC by providing communication and guidance in the implementation of operational changes that may impact our Non-Profit Partners and Vendors. Leads and participates on cross-functional teams (including but not limited to legal, marketing, finance) communicating sourcing’s strategy. Research and develop collection systems and procedures. Share proven solutions by educating our Non-Profit Partners. Develops and maintains a close working relationship with Operations Regional Directors and District Managers. Analyze and ensure accountability of Sourcing Audit findings for store and logistic locations to ensure accuracy and regulations are met. Negotiate contracts with Non-Profit and Credential Partners diplomatically and achieve a desirable outcome for the Enterprise.Communicate to Partner contractual agreement compliance. Ensure payment issues for the Non-Profit Partners and Vendors are accurate and timely. Facilitates and oversees all aspects of new start-up and turn around collection operations. Other responsibilities may be assigned to this position.

Expert level computer skills of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Demonstrate skills in training and facilitation of one on one, small or large groups. Strong organizational skills and highly detailed. Ability to negotiate, mitigate and close deals. Ability to make or influence decisions. Possess exceptional customer service skills. Ability to establish relationships with peers, internal and external customers, Non-Profit Partners and Vendors. Ability to think and act as a business owner in the thrift and non-profit industry. Ability to identify needs and recommend solutions. Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision. Demonstrate supervisory, management and leadership skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work within the Savers / Value Village culture. Ability to work with a broad spectrum of stakeholders from Savers / Value Village, Non-Profit Partners, Vendors and external customers. Demonstrate analytical, forecasting and trouble shooting skills. Strong negotiation skills, preferably with a background in diplomatic related negotiations. Must be able to manage through influence and lead by example. Ability to transfer their knowledge and develop direct reports.
