The Waste Pro Regional Vice President has full profit and loss responsibility for designated divisions. Reporting to the CEO/President, this position is accountable for the growth and development of the region's revenue, the success and development of the staff, and education of the Waste Pro Way to management and employees within the region. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Leads strategy for business development and profitable growth in the region.
2. Manages the day-to-day operations of the Division, and provides daily support to managers in ensuring quality and budget performance.
3. Monitors budget and operating metrics while diagnosing and improving processes, procedures, and performance. Participates in monthly operation review meetings to ensure that budgets are met; develops and implements programs for optimal equipment utilization, equipment maintenance, and labor and material costs.
4. Executes the regions strategic capital budget, ensuring effective use of the budget through asset allocation; ensures appropriate spare ratios and asset disposal.
5. Executes necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with Company, OSHA, DOT and other standards and regulations. Hosts quarterly claim review meetings.
6. Responsible for mentoring and developing staff by overseeing department managers to ensure understanding of the Waste Pro Way and compliance with company policy and procedures.
7. Provides oversight to personnel needs of the region including selecting, coaching, disciplining, and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Works with functional groups to resolve employee relations issues. Approves termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
8. Formulates both short-term and long-term goals and action plans in conjunction with the Division Managers.
9. Interacts with local city, municipal, and county agencies to ensure customer satisfaction, improve efficiency, renew contracts and negotiate new contracts; establishes Waste Pro as a good corporate citizen and valued resource.
QUALIFICATIONS:
*Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience;
* 10 years of Management or Supervisory work experience, preferably in the waste industry or transportation.
* experience preparing and managing budgets,
* Strong Microsoft office skills to include Excel and Word
* Strong Oral and Written communication skills
* Ability to demonstrate good leadership skills and build teams
* Must possess a valid driver's license
* CDL license and DOT Medical Card preferred
OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned.
* Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro USA.
