Regional Vice President Business Development
Overview Cambridge Investment Research Inc., one of the nation’s top independent financial solutions firm, seeking a highly skilled and proactive recruiting and business development leader to drive the firm’s talent acquisition strategy through innovative sourcing and recruiting initiatives. This individual will play a key role in identifying and evaluating top talent for our firm, collaborating closely with leadership, and contributing to our business development strategy. The role also involves mentoring regional directors, building strong relationships with financial professionals, and providing exceptional support throughout the recruiting process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional relationship-building skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence. for a person who has a passion for recruiting experienced financial advisors to join the Business Development Department as a Regional Vice President leading recruiting activities for Financial Advisors. The Recruiter is the lead generator to bring on new Financial Advisors to join Cambridge. *This is not a human resources talent acquisition recruiting role.* Essential Duties Recruiting Lead Development: Generate recruiting leads through proactive outreach and solicitations, identifying potential matches with the firm via thorough professional screening. Evaluate and develop transition packages for review by the Business Development Leadership team. Relationship Management: Participate in firm conferences, interfacing effectively with financial professionals to maintain and enhance long-term relationships. Host financial professionals during office visits, providing exceptional customer service and creating a seamless experience from transportation to meeting coordination. Partner with enterprises and branch builders to support their recruiting efforts. Mentoring & Training: Mentor and train Regional Directors and Associate Directors in the full recruitment process, offering guidance on best practices, relationship building, and evaluation techniques. Collaboration & Cross-Departmental Work: Collaborate with internal teams, including participating on committees or task forces, to drive initiatives that align with business development goals. Build and nurture relationships across departments to ensure seamless recruitment and onboarding processes. CRM and Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all recruiting activities, leads, meetings, and interactions in the CRM system. Ensure thorough documentation for all verbal and in-person meetings. Business Development: Execute the daily business development strategy to drive sales, increase revenue, expand market reach, and achieve financial objectives. Education & Experience Ten or more years of related experience, education and/or training in recruiting, business development, or relationship management. The candidate must have previous experience in finanical services recruiting financial professionals to join a broker dealer/RIA. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7 is required. Compensation: $175,000 base pay plus incentive compensation. This salary is a good faith estimate of the compensation to be offered for this position based on the ideal candidate’s qualifications, the Company’s operational needs, and other considerations permitted by law. The actual pay offered to a specific candidate may vary above or below the stated salary.
