Regional Vice President Sales (Southeast U.S.)
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales North America, this position is accountable for a team of Territory Sales Managers covering the Southeastern U.S. Region. Responsible for increasing sales, delivery of new customer penetration and provide overall field level support to the customer base. Successfully develop and grow long-term relationships with National Account & Independent Customers’ Management, Sales and Support Personnel.
Performance Expectations:
Develops individual annual goals for the Territory Managers in coordination with the North American Sales Strategy Establish and exceed annual sales targets and continue to increase market share for all product lines within an identified territory / customer base. Actively participates in weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual production forecast meetings to assure production levels accurately reflect opportunity within the Region. Establishes and maintains excellent working relationships with all Senior Field Level Management of each National Account Customer. Participates in the development of annual business plan proposals with National Account Customers. Develops and negotiates business plan and trade package proposals for large regional customers. Continually monitors regional market trends and effectively communicates information back through internal channels. Design, recommend and implement annual sales compensation programs for the Field Sales Team. Motivates territory managers by creating and recommending programs, incentives and sales tools to maximize the results of a geographically disbursed team. Fosters a culture of creativity, continuous learning and enthusiasm about team and individual success. Extensive travel (75%+) throughout the region, meeting with customers, and mentoring the regional sales team. Establishes regional T&E Budgets and manages throughout the year. Oversees company vehicles/program for all territory managers in the region. Perform other duties/projects as assigned
Credentials:
A Bachelor’s degree marketing, business administration, commerce or equivalent education and/or relevant experience.
Desired Characteristics:
Minimum five years of experience in construction equipment sales. The successful candidate will reside within the geographic sales territory. Strong business acumen. Proven record of sales success in equipment manufacturing industry. Sense of urgency with a strong customer focus. Outstanding communicator (oral and written). Familiar with rental industry practices to drive success. Proficient with various computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of business creativity and latitude is expected.
