ChristianaCare's Medical Group is looking to hire Registered Dietitians to support our School Based Health Programs in schools in New Castle County, DE.
As a Registered Dietitian, you would serve as an integral member of the SBHC team by providing in-depth assessments, care plans, counseling and follow-up to ensure that appropriate nutritional services are provided.
We have both casual positions and part-time positions available.
Schedule:
One day/week (causal)2-3 days/week (part-time)Primary Responsibilities:
Demonstrates skill and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to the adolescent population.Participates as an integral part of the healthcare team by making appropriate referrals and by coordinating care of the student with the interdisciplinary team.Obtains and interprets information for the purpose of identifying student needs and developing an appropriate care plan focused on the nutritional needs of the student.Counsels students with identified nutritional needs, on an individual basis, who are self-referred or referred by parents, school staff, SBHC staff or outside providers.Sees 2 students per hour when school is in session. Required visits will be adjusted annually based on experience.Maintains medical records according to HIPPA guidelines and third-party billing guidelines.Ensures nutrition education for students, families, and school staff.Assists with the development of policies, procedures, and programs for the SBHC.Assists in the development, implementation, and documentation of the quality assurance program.Participates in the development and evaluation of nutrition education materials appropriate for adolescents.Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices. Reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) required.Experience as a clinical dietitian with the pediatric population preferred.
