We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to join our team. This role involves providing comprehensive nutrition assessments and interventions to patients across various age groups, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and pregnant patients. You will play a critical role in improving patient health outcomes through personalized nutritional care and education.

ResponsibilitiesConduct nutrition assessments based on patient needs or regulatory requirements.Select and apply appropriate assessment tools and procedures.Review dietary intake and other factors affecting health conditions and nutritional risk.Utilize medical history, laboratory data, drug profiles, anthropometric measurements, and diet history to evaluate nutrition-related consequences.Perform nutrition-focused physical exams (NFPE) during patient assessments to determine risk or degree of malnutrition.Evaluate psychosocial, functional, and behavioral factors related to food access, selection, preparation, and physical activity.Assess patients' and families' knowledge, readiness to learn, and potential for behavior change.Observe verbal and nonverbal cues from patients and families to enhance interviewing methods.Organize and categorize data to identify nutrition problems.Determine when to consult or refer to other providers or services.Identify patterns and relationships in data to find causes of nutrition problems.Prioritize nutrition problems for optimal patient health, recovery, chronic disease management, or disease prevention.Document nutrition diagnostic statements in PES format with supporting evidence.Formulate and implement action plans based on evidence-based guidelines.Coordinate care with colleagues to ensure appropriate transitions and meet patient needs.Act as a resource for medical and clinical staff on nutritional management.Interpret and present current clinical knowledge, standards of care, and research to improve patient care and nutrition services.Essential SkillsNutrition counselingPatient assessmentCustomer serviceTeachingBilingual in SpanishCertified Registered Dietitian NutritionistCPR CertifiedExperience working in a medical setting (M&T experience)1-on-1 consultation with patients2+ years of experience with pediatrics to geriatrics, including pregnant patientsEmpathyExperience in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC)Data entry skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsBilingual - Spanish and EnglishMaster's Degree - Registered Dietitian2-3 years of experience, ideally in FQHCBLS / CPR CertificationWork EnvironmentYou will work with approximately 12-15 patients per day. The facility includes a Teaching Kitchen, providing opportunities to educate patients on proper nutrition habits in a hands-on manner. The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00
