Registered Dietitian
Office Location: This is a virtual role, but the selected candidate must reside within 50-mile radius and a 1-hour commute to the Tampa, FL Elevance Health major office (PulsePoint) location. Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection.
The Registered Dietitian is responsible for planning and conducting programs to telephonically educate patients about nutrition and administering medical nutrition therapy.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Conducts a nutrition assessment and obtains nutrition history from patient.Consults with physician and other health care personnel to determine patient's nutritional needs and diet restrictions. Plans therapeutic diets and implements preparation and service of meals.Instructs patients about meal plans and dietary changes, and establishes goals and objectives to help meet their goals. Evaluates nutritional care and provides follow-up for continuity of care.Documents nutrition care plans. Reviews member knowledge of meals for conformance to prescribed diets.Instructs patients and their families in nutritional principles, dietary plans, food selection, and preparation. Educates staff on nutrition and diet therapy.Minimum Requirements: BA/BS and minimum of 3 years of related experience required; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Registered Dietitian (RD) REQUIRED.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities & Experiences: Managed care experience preferred.
