**Job Type:** Regular **Time Type:** Part time **Work Shift:** Day (United States of America) **FLSA Status:** Non-Exempt **When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives.** REGISTERED DIETITIAN **Job Description:** **Duties/Responsibilities** + Screens new admissions for level of nutritional care, identifies patients that meet criteria for Protein-calorie malnutrition. + Performs nutrition assessments of patients and documents in medical record. + Instructs patients and/or significant others prior to discharge on therapeutic diets. + Completes discharge home referrals. + Participates in patient care conferences. + Calculates and records calorie counts, enteral and parenteral nutrition recommendations. + Monitors success of nutritional care plans through patient meal rounds, visitation. _It is understood that this is a summary of key job functions and does not include every detail of the job that may reasonably be required._ **Experience/Knowledge/Skills Required** + One to three years prior experience as clinical dietitian. **Education Required** + B.S. **Registration/Certification** + Registered Dietitian (RD) required; Massachusetts License (Dietitian/Nutritionist) within 90 days of hire. **Exposure Risk:** Exposure risk to body fluids is moderate. **Physical/Environmental Requirements** This job requires frequent bending, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking and lifting over 10 lbs. There will be occasional need for climbing stairs, lifting in excess of 50 – 100 lbs and sitting. Constant use of hearing, sight and speech. Frequent use of smell and touch. Frequent keyboard and telephone use.
